How good photography can sell your product or service.

When the current hot item of the month is launched, the first thing people will react to will be the photography. You may have a great product with amazing benefits and capabilities, but if you can’t capture the audience with the photo or imagery first, how can you get them to read or want to know more about the product?

Some of the popular brands that do this well are Apple, Sony and IKEA. Most people are very aware of Apple’s marketing. Nice clean shots, one color or white background, with no clutter or busyness going on in the background to distract the viewer’s eye. The focus is on the product and its use.

So what is the lesson here? PRESENTATION IS KEY. Whatever your industry, B2B is very similar to B2C in this aspect. If your product isn’t visually pleasing to the eye, you risk giving the impression that your product is of lesser value than your competitor’s. If your market thinks the product presentation on your site is under par, they will think your product and service is also.
